A youth’s vote is more than ‘just one vote’

MANILA, Philippines – Why should the youth care about the 2025 midterm elections anyway?

Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) Executive Director Jude Liao shared how the youth can be a vital force in ensuring a “CHAMP” (clean, honest, accurate, meaningful, and peaceful) elections.

“In the next 5 to 10 years, tayo na ang mamumuno. Tayo na ang makikinabang sa mga desisyon na gagawin natin, lalong-lalo na tuwing eleksiyon,” said Liao in the video.

(In the next 5 to 10 years, we’ll be the next leaders. The youth will benefit from the choices we’ll make especially during this election.)

There are 68.4 million registered voters in the upcoming 2025 midterm elections, 20 million of whom are Generation Z voters, born between 1997 and 2012, according to data from the Commission on Elections.
