
The Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL) member in the Philippines, the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), organized a stakeholders meeting on the 2026 Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections, 11 June 2026, at the Dusit Thani Manila.
With the theme “Forging Alliances for BARMM’s Future”, PPCRV convened BARMM-based civil society organizations as well as national election observer groups to provide updates on the preparations for the first-ever Bangsamoro Parliament election set to take place on 14 September 2026. The meeting also highlighted crucial information on the operational and security preparations ahead of the said elections.
The Philippine Commission on Elections Chairperson Hon. George Erwin Garcia encouraged organizations and monitoring groups to observe the upcoming elections and provide their critical recommendations for the election process.
ANFREL, together with its members Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE) and National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL), also participated in the event. ANFREL will be deploying an observer mission to the 2026 Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections.
